Levite Vocal School was established in 2009 and is based on the foundation of Jesus Christ. It's classes have been designed to meet individuals age, talent and deeper desire of worship. Highly qualified teachers instruct in proper singing technique and musical concepts, help develop a healthy self-esteem and understanding of team work, and encourage growth in self discipline and in Christ.
About the Founder
Stephanie Billings holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Memphis, Associates in Biblical Studies from Lighthouse College, and a Ministry License with One Voice International. She has taught children from the ages of 3-18 and adults up to 56. She has owned her own private studio, had six years experience as a public High School Choral Director and 6 years experience with the Levite Vocal School. She is a participant and former Treasurer of the West Tennessee Vocal Association and has judged numerous events including All West Honor Choir auditions and talent contests. She has led worship in many church settings including several Davidic Worship Conferences. She currently helps in leading praise and worship at Lighthouse Church in Millington. She has opened the Levite Vocal School for homeschool students to have the opportunity to participate in choral activities and to instruct students privately. Levite Worship is directed toward those desiring a deeper form of worship and how to lead others in worship.
Vocal and Ensemble Instructor
Erin Berryhill, soprano, is a recent graduate of Arkansas State University. Upon entering ASU she was awarded a full tuition scholarship where she obtained a BM degree in Vocal Performance. While at ASU she studied under lyric coloratura, Dr. Marika Kyriakos. During her college career, Erin was actively involved in many different groups including Opera Production, Concert choir, University Singers-Women, University Singers- Community and the adored jazz group Astate Delta Vox. Also while in college Erin appeared in numerous productions with the ASU Opera Theatre, some of her roles included Monica in scenes from The Medium; Constance in The Sorcerer; Gretel in scenes from Hansel and Gretel; a detective in Murder at the Opera; Nan Whine in Opera Idol, as well as the title role in Chicken Little. In the summer of 2013, Erin was accepted into the Opera Maya program. After her acceptance, she traveled to the Mexican Riviera in which she made her debut appearance as a young artist. There, she was able to work with many world renowned vocal coaches, teachers and conductors. Her personal voice instructor at Opera Maya was the incredibly well-known former Broadway and Metropolitan Opera Company star, Tim Noble. Another achievement of hers, includes second place winner in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Southern Region Auditions. Erin is now back in Tennessee in which she is so excited to start working with the Levite Vocal School giving private vocal lessons in Brighton starting June 2014.
